Roman Auton is a recurring character in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. He is a Nestene Consciousness duplicate, specifically an Auton, disguised as a human.
He first appears in the Series #2 premiere, "Rose" (2005), as Mickey Smith's friend. This Auton, part of a Nestene invasion, is activated and displays the characteristic Auton traits, such as a detachable hand that transforms into a weapon.
